MZ-III Error Code Troubleshooting E001–E009

MZ-III and MZC-III split faults across power source, carriage controller, communication, wire-feed motor, travel motor and voltage feedback. The error display narrows the evidence layer; it does not replace measurement.
E001–E009 service table

| E001 | Thermal protection | Fan, duty cycle, thermal relay, heatsink temperature and wiring. |
| E002 | Circulating-current / output diode short fault | Output diode module, secondary output path, bus/output short evidence. |
| E003 | Communication fault | Digital link between power source and carriage/control box. |
| E004 | Wire-feed motor short | Wire-feed motor armature path, overload protector, control board output. |
| E005 | Wire-feed motor runaway | Speed feedback, drive command, control board output and motor wiring. |
| E006 | Travel motor short | Travel motor wiring and drive output. |
| E007 | Travel motor runaway | Travel speed feedback/control path. |
| E008 | Short fault when switching SAW to MMA | Output short state before switching mode. |
| E009 | SAW voltage feedback open | Voltage feedback wire, connector, feedback circuit and work return. |
