HF control socket
Command from control panel.
HF board reference
A redrawn board-level reference for WSM-315 TIG high-frequency arc-start diagnosis.
The HF board is a start-path board. It should create high-frequency start energy and then stop after arc transfer.
The HF arc-start board is a start-path board, not the whole welding output system. It controls the high-voltage/high-frequency start path, boost output and relay switching that should stop after arc transfer.
The HF board is a start-path board. It should help ignition and stop after arc transfer.
Command from control panel.
Switches HV start path.
Raises arc-start voltage.
Bleeds HV after start.
HF lead to torch or output terminal.
Check command, relay, HV pack and HF output socket.
Relay contact or control output may remain ON.
Check boost output, work return and main output path.
| Symptom | Likely layer | Check direction |
|---|---|---|
| No HF at torch | HF control command, relay, HV pack, output socket | verify command before replacing HV parts. |
| HF stays on | HF relay/SSR/control output stuck | confirm arc-transfer cutoff path. |
| HF exists but arc does not transfer | main output, work clamp, torch, output polarity | do not stay only on HF board. |
| Hard TIG start | spark gap, boost output, ground return, torch consumables | compare HF and main-current behavior. |
