Fault route

ZX7-160/200 Relay Clicks but Machine Does Not Start Diagnostic

A startup-path route for compact ZX7 machines where relay action is heard but normal inverter operation does not begin.

Quick Answer

A relay click does not prove the DC bus, auxiliary supply or inverter board is healthy. Separate relay coil action from relay contact conduction, start resistor health, DC bus charging and top-board supply.

Diagnostic path

Input power → start resistor → relay coil click → relay contacts → DC bus capacitor charge → auxiliary/top-board supply.

Evidence table

Relay clicks but no bus: contact/start path fault. Bus charges but no control: auxiliary supply fault. Control exists but no output: use no-output/drive route. Repeated relay cycling: overload or supply collapse.
